“Great place, lovely food and very friendly”

If you are looking for a ski in/ski out location in one of the loveliest resorts in Valtellina, then this works for you. The hotel is very comfortable with great facilities for skiing. The food is great.

We spent a week in this hotel and enjoyed a lot its location, as the hotel is located just in the middle of the Bormio slope, a few steps from the snow lift. We also appreciated very good cuisine – we had dinner there and each day there was a very good selection of dishes, including italian specialities.

I stayed in the Vallechiara with my family last week and we all had a wonderful time. The rooms are basic but with beautiful views, the food is traditional, filling and delicious and best of all are the staff who are always smiling and happy to help.

This is our second visit in 2 years. Am very fond of the place. We stayed for a week and skied in Bormio & Santa Caterina. Reasonably priced, well located at the bottom of the chair lift up to Bormio 2000, & half way down the piste that goes to Bormio town.

Very nice enjoyable hotel. We had a breakfast and dinner. Great and very good breakfast and fantastic four course Italian dinner. We also rented ski’s for nice price.
