Telemark is the name of a region situated 250 kms from Oslo, Norway: it is from the north, in fact, that this way of skiing comes. A method that has been used since medieval times for travelling and hunting, as well as enjoyment.

It is a very enjoyable technique and rewarding, at a satisfying level. Those keen on this method of skiing, push one leg forward looking for balance that, for onlookers, seems impossible to achieve. This way they produce a sort of elegant curve whilst almost kneeling.
